2012
Carnival Liberty
I toured the cruise ship, Carnival Liberty today, July 28, 2012 out of Miami. This ship sails the 7 day Western & Eastern Caribbean. What a great ship full of enhancements! The rooms are spacious. The dining room lunch was delicious! The Lido deck has the new Guy's Burger Joint (open from 12pm -6pm) & the Blue Iguana Cantina (open from 12pm -3:30pm) which has NO UPCHARGE!!! Their newly renamed sports bar, EA Sports, is truely a sports bar-lots of flat screen tv's and a few you can play EA Sports video games on! The Youth Program's will definetly keep the kids busy. The casino has a new alcohol program also- insert your Sail & Sign card, reach 1500 points and your drinks will be on them for the rest of the cruise! I definetly see myself cruising on this ship soon!
Day 1 on Nowegian's Epic Cruise Ship
We arrived to the Port of Miami at around 12:00. When we boarded the ship, we were able to go to our room right away. We went to room #8111, which was a midship balcony. What a beautiful room, where we found the Freestyle Daily with a list of activities for Day 1 of our cruise!
We went to Taste restaurant and enjoyed a nice sit down lunch.
We later went on a tour at Mandara Spa & Salon. The hydrotherapy pool, jacuzzi's, heated beds, sauna & steam rooms - WOW! What a really nice spa - you can use the spa for 7 days for $146 per person or on port days, you can use the spa for $39 a day.
At 4:00, we went up to poolside and got some cocktails and enjoyed the sailaway party with SpongeBob & Patrick-great music!
We went tothe Manhattan Room for a surf & turf dinner. They had a band playing nice dinner music and they also have a dance floor. The lobster was fantastic-Yummy! Just a note-the Manhattan room, men can not wear shorts except on the 1st night.
We explored the ship while we waited for our reserved showing of Blue Man Group at 10:00. They had a movie showing at Spice H2O, bowling going on at the two bowling lanes, Howl at the Moon at Headliners, so much to do!
We arrived at the Blue Man Group show and it was something short of amazing! The effects & colors were
just amazing. Definetly a must see!
After the show, we walked around some more and after a long day, called it a night!
Check back tomorrow for Day 2 on Norwegian's Epic!
